cook eat sew

Hi Monday.

After a rainy, mostly gray weekend of good reasons to stay indoors to cook, eat and sew.  I regard the simple things that brought me to today.

I am thinking about what I produced over the weekend.

Cook:  Banana muffins with raisins & pecans (right off a tree in my parents back yard) that I made Sunday.  These muffins were gluten free (aka "Bob's Red Mill" made from a garbonzo bean).  The only way to hurdle over the beany flavor is to add extra vanilla and turbinado sugar.
Eat:  Tempeh Ruben Sandwich with sauerkraut...yum and thousand island dressing instead of horseradish.
Sew:  White and red polka-dotted 1920's style drop waist bib apron embellished with plastic, red, crossed spoon/fork buttons up-recycled from Rosalie's chef jacket she had when she was 3.
